Decent chicken rice and pork chop, but the rice is a bit steep. A plus point was that it was air-conditioned. Personally found the pork chop sauce slightly too sweet for my liking.

We had a nice meal at Hainan Second Street in Bedok Mall. The place was cozy and welcoming, making it a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy some good food. It's definitely ideal for larger families, thanks to the big round tables.
We ordered several dishes including Curry Pork Chop Rice, Hainan Chicken Kuey Tiao Soup, Roasted Chicken Single Rice Bowl, and some Bean Sprouts. Everything tasted pretty good and came in generous portions. The Curry Pork Chop Rice was especially tasty, with rich curry sauce and tender pork, while the Chicken Kuey Tiao Soup was comforting, with flavorful broth and tender slices of chicken.
We also tried their Kaya Toast and Sugar Butter Toast, both of which were crispy and delicious—perfect with our Kopi C and Milo Iced drinks. The drinks were refreshing and rounded out the meal nicely.
The service was quick and friendly (we appreciated their inclusive hiring), and we found the prices quite fair considering the quality and the amount of food we got, totaling around SGD 52.70.
We definitely recommend stopping by for a casual, satisfying meal if you're around Bedok.

Here's the edited review:
We had Curry Pork Chop Rice that came with egg, pork belly, and Chap Chye; Sweet and Sour Pork Chop with an added chicken rice; and a plate of fried bitter gourd with eggs. Curry Pork Chop Rice was nicer than the Sweet and Sour Pork Chop.
Service was good, and the environment was neat and tidy.

We had an impromptu dinner at Hainan Second Street around 9 PM and finally decided to give it a shot despite some of the negative reviews. Speaking from our own experience, we actually found it to be quite good.
Perhaps the late timing worked in our favor—there was no queue, and we were lucky to be served by Auntie Esther. Her warmth and kindness were evident in both her voice and demeanor, making the dining experience even more pleasant. Watching her serve guests with such care was a highlight of the night.
As for the food, we really enjoyed their chicken rice. Being big fans of chicken rice, we appreciated the flavors and will definitely be back—maybe just not during peak hours. Haha.

Came here at 8pm for a quick fix as it was late.
Although there was no veg set left, the roasted chicken rice itself was so great.
The soup was superb and tasty.
The price is a little higher compared to coffeeshops/hawkers, but that's okay. It was worth every bite!
