In the basement at Bedok Mall, there's a "small corner" with seating for meals. Prices seem reasonable, plus a dollar for tea/coffee, but I was wondering if a cold drink was an option instead? The food is overly tasty 🤤; I'll likely be thirsty thereafter! 😂

I went for my lunch on 27/12/2024 and ordered the set with coffee C. But the coffee was too thick, and I asked the staff to add milk. The girl who took my order was supposed to help me add evaporated milk, but she just stood there looking at me. Then, the other uncle poured sweetener milk, which I don't like at all. I asked him, "You never asked me what kind of milk, then you just added milk without asking me." From the beginning, he already started talking to me in a rude manner, and he made me so angry, but I didn't really feel like quarreling with him.
I asked him for the manager's phone number, telling him I wanted to complain about him. He said, "Go ahead." I called the number, but there was no answer. They then asked me to SMS, but still no reply, and even suggested I WhatsApp if I needed to find a job. I even asked for plain water since he didn't want to change the coffee for me. The girl gave me hot water that was too hot, and I was unable to drink it. I asked her to change it for me, yet she also never did it for me. Really disappointed to pay money for lunch and get this kind of service.

Noodles undercooked and lumpy.
Fried dumpling was dry and hard.
Fortunately, the sauce was average.
My bowl of noodles was supposed to come with 1 fishball (as shown in the menu photo), but none was served.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Worst outlet I’ve ever eaten at across all of their outlets islandwide! I've ordered their satay bee hoon twice over the past few months, and the bee hoon serving was so pathetic! Who are you feeding?! Babies? The price has increased over the years from $5 in the early days to $5.50 and now $6.30! I was appalled when the China guy just nonchalantly used his hand to grab those few strands of bee hoon into my bowl! See pictures for reference! They treat us as beggars, as if they’re the only store in Bedok Mall! I told him it was so little and I wouldn't be full from eating those few strands of bee hoon! He told me to add money if I felt it was little! This is the standard portion that they give. How absurd is that?! FYI, other outlets do not give such pathetic portions, only here! I went to question the senior uncle who works there after he was back from his break if this was the right amount. He told me yes, as he was instructed by his towkay (aka boss). This is horrendous! That explains why there aren't many people eating there during dinner time! I felt ripped off! Rude Myanmar lady who shows her temper when you give her more requests and gives you black face! Stay clear of this place! Not going to patronise this outlet anymore! Even other diners had the same sentiments as me!

Subject: Feedback on Poor Service and Product Quality
I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent experience at your outlet.
I ordered a Laksa set meal as I usually do, and as usual, the staff (who was facing away) up-sold it with a hot beverage. I mistakenly said “coffee” when I actually meant “tea,” an honest slip that can happen to anyone. Upon being served, I realised the error and politely explained that I do not consume coffee, and asked for a change.
To my surprise, the staff responded with inflexibility and a lack of empathy, insisting that since I had said “coffee,” it could not be changed. I eventually told them to keep the drink, as they were unwilling to accommodate a simple request.
Rather than let it go to waste (since I had already paid for it), I looked around and thankfully found another customer willing to accept the coffee. What I found most troubling was not just the rigidity of the policy, but the rudeness and dismissive attitude of the staff involved. Mistakes happen, and we are human. A little understanding would have gone a long way.
To add to the experience, the Laksa itself was underwhelming, overly creamy with coconut milk and lacking in authenticity.
I hope this feedback will be taken seriously and used to improve both your service standards and product quality. I’ve always supported your establishment, but this experience has left a sour taste. If up-selling were not practiced, this issue would not have occurred.
Food hygiene was appalling: I noticed he cooked, cleaned, and collected the used utensils. The staff is not customer-centric. Would you want to dine at EAT Bedok Mall?
