I like the thoughtfulness of Polar Cakes to provide reusable utensils, not just a cake knife, when you buy a birthday cake. Very nice gesture indeed.

$2 for a curry puff. Wasn't served hot. Crust is flaky but didn't taste good.

A very quick and fuss-free transaction. Redeemed my ShopBack voucher for a sugar roll at $0.99. Got the one without sugar coating as the cake is already sweet enough. It was very good value for money and a great fluffy treat.

Bought the cookie and cream cake. Looks nice, tastes okay, but has a lot of cream. The layer of cake is thin.

Double-check and don't trust the counter staff. Make sure you see her pack your pastry. I specifically picked a pastry that looked fresher and repeated myself twice in case she didn't hear me. She acknowledged and nudged me away to the counter for payment. I ended up with the stale-looking pastry, which was probably harder to sell and/or an older batch to be disposed of soon. Just for a simple and cheap pastry, you lost my respect, and I'll surely warn my friends and family to check their items before leaving and not to trust this shop blindly.
