Should have a 30-minute grace period.

Not easy to get a parking space as the number of lots is quite limited in this car park. The pickup and drop-off point is also via this lane, which is fully sheltered!

Carpark at Bedok Mall Would like to caution all drivers: BE CAUTIOUS OF BEDOK MALL CARPARK. I entered the Bedok Mall carpark. There were many cars queuing to enter. Just waiting to pass the barrier took quite some time, and the moment after passing the barrier, I had difficulty getting a parking lot. My car moved from one level to another, without being able to see any empty lot. Even though the indication appeared that there were one or two empty lots, when the car moved to that level, I would find that there was actually no parking lot. After a few rounds, a lot of time was wasted. I gave up and decided to leave the carpark. At the exit, this time I specifically paid attention to the machine's display. I saw $2.60 being deducted from my cash card!! I wrote to the Management and asked for a refund, but the Management said the grace period is only 10 minutes and I had exceeded it. They never bothered whether a driver managed to park the car! Isn't that ridiculous and unreasonable? It is totally unfair for us! If they want to impose a 10-minute grace period, they cannot allow more cars to enter when there are no available parking lots, which made us stupidly turn rounds and rounds within the carpark, but still unable to get a parking lot. Even if we decided to leave the carpark after, say, 7 minutes of entering, there's no guarantee that one could leave within the 10 minutes. On the way out, if we thought someone was about to leave, we waited for that car to leave, but eventually it didn't. Moreover, their system is questionable; it is not able to detect whether a car had eventually parked after turning several rounds within the carpark! It is very wrong and very unethical if their system can't capture that and simply deduct parking charges. When I turned into the Heartbeat @ Bedok carpark, it was full. After wasting time there, the system did not deduct parking charges.
